      Great Brands and People, beware of constant re-orgs

      Pros

      Some of the finest adult beverages in the world. Flexible working schedule, family friendly. Good benefits, bonus structure, and vacation policy. Opportunity for growth if in the right department/function. Great severance policy!

      Cons

      Since 2008 they re-org which results in good people being let go. They've moved away from valuing the experience people bring to simply caring about "the bottom line". If they can do this role in Budapest or somewhere else where labor is 40-60% cheaper than US, its moved.

      Pros

      You will work with very smart competitive people, this is a great company to learn how to work with high standards and ethics, you will have lots of fun going to events they always make the best brand launches and the portfolio of products is fantastic!

      Cons

      You don't have any job stability, you never know when the next restructure is coming and when you will have to loose your job. People become very hostile and competitive for the same reason, they all want to survive.

      Great benefits, bar in the building (not that I use it), opportunity for growth for "golden boys", product allowance

      Cons

      I used to be proud to work for Diageo. Now, after years of poor performance, I am not. We have sold off some great brands and employees are just waiting for the next layoff. IT is poorly managed as are numerous other functions. Would leave but unfortunately Diageo does pay well for Fairfield County, CT.
