Pros

Great benefits Good opportunities to move into new roles

Cons

The Plainfield location is very political. If your manager doesn’t decide they like you - for whatever reason (even personal), you will end up stuck as it’s quite easy for them to block you from moving around out of spite. It felt like high school which was absolutely ridiculous and disappointing to see in what is supposed to be a professional environment You will be overworked and under appreciated. There are clear favorites and it has nothing to do with the best performers - it’s usually the people the leadership feels strokes their egos the most. The senior leadership in Norwalk leading the teams in Plainfield are probably the biggest problem of them all. Behavior starts from above. I wouldn’t recommend this location but the company as a whole can be good They are taking diversity way too far, I love seeing diverse leadership but ONLY when those people are qualified for their role (professional qualifications have gone out the window) Re-orgs every 6-10 months and each time they make less sense then the time before - very unstable Constant turnover because of the terrible way things are run.

Pros

Good brands. Pays well for the industry... if you can keep your job Highly challenging environment and brings out the best in people... sometimes

Cons

Bi-annual restructuring - no stability Lack of people development, does not value people Prefers to hire from outside, does not believe or invest in internal talent 100% relationship driven to advance, does not recognize capability Very low to zero career growth possible in support functions - all migrated to shared services. Asked to grow business on decreasing spend every year. People also asked to stretch - headcounts removed and work reallocated among existing team without reducing the work involved. Slow to react to growth opportunities due to long decision making process

Stop reorganising!

Pros

Some nice people, great brands and a truly international company. If you're in the right team (i.e marketing) an exciting place to work

Cons

Sense of panic and failure even when the company is performing OK. No real reward for the effort some people put in so after a while people get jaded and leave. SO much management time is spent cutting costs and reorganising, people lose sight of the big picture and just focus internally to cover themselves - the exact opposite effect than intended.
