Pros

This company looks great on a resume and has an incredible product. They have a snack bar in the building and I made great relationships with my coworkers. Their ergonomics program is amazing, and that department is incredibly nice and really do care.

Cons

This is related to tech support- they are open 24 hours. Make sure to eat and go to the bathroom before work because you will be glued to the phone and your desk all day long. I was reading other reviews and they are spot on. Be prepared for your family and personal life to suffer. You will work Christmas Day, thanksgiving and any other holiday. The patients are nice, but are not so nice after holding 30-60 minutes to talk to you! Management says that if they get mean (which they do) you can give them a warning. But you will get verbally abused and cussed at. Everyone calls in sick because you are so stressed out and overworked your immune system is non existent. They also call in sick because when you can, people go out drinking together at night to forget about their awful day and what their life has become. There are cliques and favoritism through the roof. Just sit at your desk and mind your business. Starting pay is slightly higher than other companies but you have to work so much. You will know HR staff by first name. Also parking is awful, be prepared to walk. If you need to sleep on your lunch break it takes forever to walk to your car. Security guards are nice though. They expect you to complete calls and documentation of the call in a timely manner but it takes FOREVER to document and you have to ask the patient a ton of questions. My advice to you- take the job, but apply at other places while you work here.

Pros

Great mission to help people improve their health, I believe Dexcom has great growth opportunities ahead of them, and people here generally believe in Dexcom's mission and want to achieve it. Remote work is nice, company benefits and pay are both decent.

Cons

If you are coming from a good tech company (FANG) - be prepared to face some reality shifts. Their IT is behind and it takes forever to get things done - the entire process is so broken and most IT partners take zero ownership of tasks that are assigned to them. They will keep telling you to submit a ticket for business needs, only to have the tickets lost in a million other tickets. As others mentioned, management here is bad. My current manager should never be a people-leader. There isn't any formal way to measure manager effectiveness, therefore, there is no good way for HR or high-level leadership to detect or correct such behaviors.

Pros

Up until recently this was hands down the best company I have ever worked for. The culture here was amazing, every single person loved their job and had a smile on their face. And because of the culture it made the work wonderful, everyone here truly cared about the work they were doing and the help they were providing people. It was truly a patient care center, and not just another call center.

Cons

Over the past several months the company decided to make changes and pushed for more and more quantity over quality. And with those changes unfortunately came a severe lack of communication and out right hiding information from employees. Which resulted in the announcement that over the next few months they would lay off almost all of there american employees in AZ & CA, in favor of cheaper labor through temp agencies and the Philippines. Apparently quality is no longer a concern for them. They cant keep those people staffed as they are under trained and under paid for the work they are expected to do, so the turn over rate is very high.

Thank you so much for everything you've done for the company and for our patients. I know that the change has been difficult but we have been trying to support our employees as much as possible with resources, time, and events to help them find their next role at Dexcom or with other companies in our locations. I wish you all the best in your next role and appreciate your honest feedback on your experience.
