      Not a good place for sales reps

      Pros

      Product is amazing Working with patients and changing their lives for the better is incredibly rewarding Salary is ok, the product makes it livable

      Cons

      No continuity---things change each week making it hard to be successful No support from inside sales group, playing favorites or being just plain lazy Disorganized, no streamlined processes Jumped the gun on Medicare and really screwed up their reputation

      Pros

      Engaged management. A priority and willingness to make Dexcom run better internally. I think priorities are clear from the top down, but you just have to be ready to pivot because of outside factors. I think everyone in the company is capable of making this pivot. Dexcom hires very intelligent people, no matter where they come from, that will help you improve your skillset. Dexcom grew rapidly and they were able to scale effectively.

      Cons

      People who write reviews like the one below regarding H1B status. There is no place for that in a workplace, I would recommend to that person to read "The world is flat".

      You will be challenged

      Pros

      You will know that your work helped a child with Type I Diabetes go to his first slumber party by himself. You will feel good about your influence on the world. You will learn. You will keep learning. The friction to make pretty dramatic changes to procedure is very low for a medical device company.

      Cons

      Due to rapid growth, many basic business processes are not well in place at Dexcom. Purchasing is a nightmare, for example. Good news: everything is flexible, everything changes. I've seen improvement every year. Secondly, some groups do not talk to each other that really should. I've seen some very bad relationships between Quality, Regulatory, Test, and Development. This is not the norm, but it can be very frustrating when it happens.
