Very few people within Deloitte understand what it means to be on this track or how to properly utilize them. As a result, they are treated like second-class citizens. Because their utilization rate is so high, its not possible to take the PTO that you have earned as PDM, and this is not a reasonable thing to ask for any employee. Despite the fact that PDMs have raised the issue over and over and over again, leadership refuses to adjust utilization. Even if they give you the ok to take your PTO, the talent managers constantly stalk you and your coach to see why your utilization is "off." It is an exhausting system. If you are a mid-career professional, you'll go nowhere in this role. Its a dead end. And no one really cares whether you use your skills and abilities. It's just about billing on the cheap. No training, no guidance.
