      Pros

      Pros could be the benefits and the brand recognition. Depending on team and team members the work life balance is somewhat acceptable.

      Cons

      You will work with people who has no idea what IT is. Deloitte tends to hire lots of veterans and contractors who has very limited technical background. Some has no idea whatsoever. But somehow someone is hiring them. Plus they tend to survive especially within the internal teams for some reason. Therefore, it gets very political and corrupted especially with teams that has 5 managers 3 senior managers and 1 or 2 SDE.

      Pros

      Amazing family planning and health insurance benefits. 6 months paid maternity leave and also IVF is covered by insurance - amazing! However, they have no plans, help, assistance, or even a phone call for when you return from maternity leave unstaffed. You can resign as soon as my maternity leave is over with no implications - that's what I did.

      Cons

      On my first week, I met and introduced myself to a partner in my workstream as recommended upon hiring. I was taken aback at how condescending he was and that he said that I was only hired as an investment (I brought a contract with me with 3 years remaining in it). He was the head of their Latino community and the insult was surprising. My co-workers were catty and clique-y - think high school mean girls. My leadership acted unethically with proposals they planned to give the government and secondary plans for their actually leaner staffing planning to maximize profit. It wasn't a fit for me.

      Pros

      Deloitte is one of the big-4. Good salay, benefits and competition package

      Cons

      Employees are treated as slaves here. No matter how expert and knowledgeable employees are, they are supposed to learn to say “yes sir” and are expected to work at least 12 hours on average. As soon as you try to suggest something right but that is in conflict, your manager will label you as poor performer. And there is no real HR system in Deloitte.
