      Fast pace, crazy growth, still feels like a startup (in a good way)

      Pros

      The company is filled with incredibly smart and skilled people across all functions and levels. The number of high performers is something I've never seen before. Autonomy is really nice, there's a lot of trust in people getting their stuff done. There is a lot of confidence in our co-founders and leadership team - they are extremely competent, strategic with capital, and know how to energize the masses. Doesn't mean things are "a walk in the park", goals are aggressive everywhere in the organization and everyone is held accountable. But they are achievable and there is some great collaboration. Overall it still feels like a startup because of the pace, which makes things exciting.

      Cons

      With any startup, there are growing pains. We're no different. The larger the organization has gotten the more complex it has become to navigate.

      Hard Work, Huge Rewards

      Pros

      Deel is a start up and as typical with start ups there is an opportunity for significant upside. Significant upside to your career, learning, future opportunities, personal and professional growth, decision making, speed, compensation. If you are a persistent, professional, resilient problem solver who wants to impact humans on the other end of your work whilst building and contributing to the platform in HR technology with the largest competitive advantage to solve for the global workforce then this is the only place to be.

      Cons

      If you require constant supervision, want to be in an office, expect the compensation and perks and benefits of a Facebook/Apple/Amazon/Netflix/Google, are not comfortable working in a global company with many cultures represented, are not capable of managing your own work schedule and being disciplined in an otherwise 24/7 global work environment where a colleague or customer is always on, are not self-motivated, are not a problem solver, are not resilient and not only open to but expecting change so as not to be stagnant, are not creative or rationale or reasonable then it's not a place to work. Empathy, respect, and collaboration are key in a global workforce with people in over 100 countries all trying to solve the hardest problems in the global workforce tech and management sector.

      Pros

      Smart and humble team who likes to make things happen, FAST. Deel is the fastest-growing company on the planet for a good reason, the decision-making is fast, the prioritization is rigorous, and the ambition of the team is unrivalled. I've been a part of two unicorns previously and feel very fortunate to be here.

      Fast growth always comes with some growing pains

      Agree with the growing pains that come with fast growth. Luckily we had 93% of our people participate in our engagement survey recently and an 87% engagement rate. The thousands of comments we received showed our connected people are with our mission and the impact they are having daily on our customers, but they also provided excellent feedback on the pain that comes with growth at this pace and scale. We're thankful for that feedback and will be taking direct action on communication, leadership development, and change management to name a few.
