Pros

Good for a fresher to start and learn. Cannot find anything else positive to say

Cons

The list is enormous! Let me mention a few at least. 1. Work is 6 full days a week. This is in no way productive for the employees and work is very very hectic. So say goodbye to having a life. They say you'll b productive when you're working fewer hrs but six days. In reality you need to work overtime very frequently and you end up being burnt out. 2. Pay is also low for the amount and type of work you need to do. 3. The training system is very poor and you are expected to deliver with very little training. 4. Inadequate resources provided and you end up wasting time for simple tasks. 5. Open partiality towards their own people especially in terms of treatment and compensation and are in majority no way more knowledgable or practical than beginners here. 6. LOTS of internal politics! In short, they do not practice what they preach (claim to practice)

Pros

Working at a sporting goods company is cool and the products are fun to work with. Work-life balance is good and the hours are pretty set. There are opportunities in other countries if you work your way up. The company heavily promotes from within, but that mostly takes place in Europe.

Cons

The review that said “Unconcerned with realities of customer expectations, retail, and employment norms in the US” is incredibly accurate. Read that for everything you need to know. The willful ingnorance of the US retail landscape has led to a series of poor decisions that leaves the management constantly making changes to save face. English within the corporation is abysmal. For a 13 billion dollar company it is embarrassing. Conversations amongst managers and anyone French-speaking are always conducted in French and leave American workers out. Additionally, workers from abroad receive much better benefits than the other employees leaving all Americans feeling as if they are second-class employees. Management continues to bring in employees from abroad rather than promote from within which makes the situation worse. The company is EXTREMELY cheap and always defaults to doing more with less, which does not work if you base your company in the SF Bay Area. Don’t expect good pay or benefits. Turnover is high as a result. Performance reviews are very rigid and usually focus on negative aspects of performance rather than positives. Little help is provided to correct the negatives.
