      Pros

      The best part about this job is helping your bride find her dream gown. Talking with her and listening to her needs really helps you develop your people skills. Creating a personal bond between you and your bride is something you don't get anywhere else.

      Cons

      The pay is terrible. $7.50/hour is your base pay. After that you have to hit commission goals that are unachievable. Managers expect every single bride to apply for financing and they expect every bride to purchase everything the day she walks in. Expectations are too high.

      Pros

      It's a pretty clean environment and you get to assist brides to obtain the perfect fit for their special day. Everyone feels welcome.

      Cons

      Work hours are controlled by how much work flows through since the alterations department is really a separate business inside the store and so those who can't keep up with productivity are let go, even if they do better quality work than the manager. Quantity, not quality. Customers compliment when there's better quality.

      Pros

      You get to help brides find that special dress for their special day. They have a large variety of dresses and styles to meet almost every bride's needs.

      Cons

      Cliques within the store. High pressure to sell the credit card and upsell accessories and shoes. Commission structure makes it virtually impossible to earn more than your wage.
