Pros

The people that were at my store were incredible. Beyond friendly. I could tell when I first accepted the job how well everyone got along both in and outside of the store itself. Fun job where you could play and have fun with each customer.

Cons

Poor store management. Store manager was very unorganized and seemed at times to be more into her duties than helping her employees make a sale or succeed in the company. She was so involved with improving her image as a store manager to the district and to customers that employees were often neglected. Weekdays were often slow and hard to make sales. Weekends were horrible. Multiple brides at one time and often "self help" customers would take you away from your brides. This made it very hard to keep customer service with our customers because we were pulled in so many different directions. I lived 50 minutes away from my store and I often found some shifts not worth the gas (especially the 4 hour clean up the store shift). I came to the store with a fashion degree background and felt that wasn't always appreciated. The store mannequins should change frequently considering how many brides return. If the same dresses are on the mannequins every time you walk in the store it give brides and customers the impression that we don't get new merchandise.

Pros

I enjoy the atmosphere, but that's about it. It's nice to work with the brides who are actually happy to be there, but there are fewer of those than you would expect. You do get a nice employee bonus. Good temporary job if you just got engaged ;)

Cons

Weekends are total chaos and high stress. Week days are completely dead and numbingly boring. Consultants only make minimum wage. There is the opportunity for commission after meeting sales goals, but only consultants who work at least 30 hours a week come near it. I am constantly screamed at by customers for things that are their fault because they procrastinated until the last minute.
