Pros

Great place to work! You really learn a lot a an intern and the attorneys provide you with engaging opportunities and assignments. I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested exploring a career in the legal industry.

Cons

No cons! The only con is there are so many free lunches due to firm-wide events that I probably gained a bit of weight during my time there!

Pros

Good compensation. Very talented attorneys.

Cons

It is a huge law firm with never-ending bureaucracy. Depending on your department and the attorneys you work with, you may or may not have a work-life balance.

Need to treat employees better

Pros

The firm has hired a lot of capable and outstanding business development and marketing people to build their brand and reputation when they need people to build their brand. This is critical for such a young brand with a little bit more than a decade's existence to counter magic firms and other much established major players. Bear in mind that a lot of the competitors have more than a century's experience.

Cons

The firm than dumps the most experience directors and managers after finish using them for post merger. Most of them get absolute minimum statutory compensation. One long service legal support staff received an extra pay of only US$200 for her eight year's of services after she complained of being made redundant. And her position was not being made redundant. The firm hired younger and less experienced, of course cheaper personnel to do her job. Office politics is terrible. At least three different gangs of partners fighting with each other at the same time. Unhealthy environment. Politics affecting also associates and support staff.
