Integrity Challenge Support Excellence Bravery

Pros

In my tenure at DDD Ltd, through a challenging year, I learned about leadership, team work and integrity. This was, in the main, as a result of the situation my role actually turned out to be. In a pressured work environment you have to work hard to receive advice and guidance but when it comes it generally really good, can develop the individual as well as resolve any issue / need.

Cons

I experienced how challenging a member of the managememt team was met with contempt. I saw my colleagues being thoroughly unsupported and as I was brave enough to speak out I was met with silence. I feel that the core values are brilliant ones but they need to be practiced and demonstrated from the top downwards.

It really sounds like the values we have really resonated with you, and you took the opportunity to learn and grow whilst here at DDD - which is great to hear. We place a really high importance on our values (Integrity Challenge Support Excellence Bravery), and we are continually working to further embed these into the business. We rely on our leaders and line managers to role model the values on a daily basis - so I'm sorry to hear that you felt a member of the team did not display these values consistently. As you say, we have many people in the business who live and breath the values and our culture. When we see behaviours that are not in keeping with our core principles, we take action (offering training, support, feedback and challenge).
