Pros

The ability to work from home on a consistent basis (when you aren’t traveling to clients) is a huge plus at Crowe and one of the best benefits they offer.

Cons

Charge hours and “unlimited” PTO. So charge hours are kind of pointless imo. Management wants employees to hit specific charge hour goals on a yearly basis, but also has a tone at the top that encourages employees to eat charge hours in order to meet the budgets on our client engagements. This makes it challenging to balance meeting your own expectations without running through a budget and upsetting a manager. Additionally, the switch to unlimited PTO has made it effectively impossible to take time off without having to work overtime at other times to catch back up on your charge hours. As a result, you end up working the same amount of hours, so it’s effectively not true time off.

Pros

Lots of flexibility. Great managers Lots of work and growing (not in the funny haha way but actually) Communication lines are always open to anyone

Cons

"Unlimited PTO" but no time to use it. And if you do go on holiday due to the firm-wide closing, you're behind on your charge hours and now you have to work 200 hours the next month to catch up. Charge Hours in general - useless. I've done the work of at least 3 interns so far and my charge hours are far below that. Incentive to eat hours is there and some in-charges will question your work hours even when you submit work at 1 in the morning trying to get ahead of things (I'm a late owl, so working later sometimes just works out.) Overall the charge budgets just stress out staff and do nothing in terms of productivity. Compensation - Let's just say my salary went up by a lot more which is awesome, but the seniors above me also got the same. And last year they got no raise which made this important to really make an impact and make up for lost time so to speak. Our "Crowe Appreciation" boxes were lacking in terms of items we'd actually use.

Pros

Hindsight 20/20 there are very little. Maybe becoming better at excel.

Cons

Do not take this job. You will learn the most niche set of skills that will not translate over to any career in any industry. Unless you love ESOPs and horrible compliance testing for ESOPs, do not accept this position. You will learn nothing and getting any type of position post this job will be impossible.
