      Work at Crowe Horwath was great in the past but is presently stressful re: job security!

      Pros

      Great opportunities to learn and grow - professionally and personally. Great online training opportunities. Great place to work re: work - life balance

      Cons

      Remuneration is not at par with the industry - especially their success sharing plan. Thier non compensation program is not interesting and not popular enough within the firm. Unsure about job security - it always seems that people are still getting fired left and right without notice from management.

      Pros

      You can get a lot of experience very quickly. Lots of opportunity to travel and see the world. Lower level partners take and interest in their staff (note they don't make decisions anymore)

      Cons

      There are too much politics with this firm. This firm was like a family until ex-Andersen partners came on board now it is like a bad Big-4 want a be. Promotions are based on favoritism. Senior Partners lied to the firm when they announced no more layoffs then proceed to cut Executives, Senior Manager and Managers 2 months later. Management will never admit they made mistakes but they will try to make changes to correct their errors. Several of the subject matter experts in the firm have been let go or have quit leaving inexperienced staff and the audit programs. This firm has had a major brain drain in the past 3 years which will be a problem going forward.

      -Highly Competent Executives / Senior Managers -Great Networking Opportunities -Great Place To Start Your Career -Generally Flexible Regarding Time Off

      Cons

      -Little Opportunity to Transition Outside of Audit/Tax -Low Compensation for Lower Level Staff Relative to Corporate Companies (less hours/more compensation) -Difficult to Find Work/Life Balance -Lots of Politics/Favoritism
