Pros

- Working with highly talented people, as they have a hard selection process. - Very good pay for 3rd world countries. I received 4x what I used to receive before in my country. - The payment is done each week, which is very nice. - Performance metrics are open to the whole team and very transparent, which is also very nice, as you know what is expected from you and how you are performing compared to your teammates. - They hire for full-time jobs and expect us to work 40 hours/week and they pay for it. This is not a freelance job.

Cons

- You need to use a timer that tracks everything that you do on the computer and takes a picture each ten minutes. The tracker is enabled only when you say that you are working. It’s a bit annoying, but I understand that is a way for them to know and check when someone is not performing if the person is really working for the time it says it’s working. - They don’t have any process to have promotions, but you can apply to other jobs and if you pass all the tests, you can be promoted.

Transparent and quick

Pros

Very transparent and open recruitment process, with clear guidelines on the requirements and very quick response times (3 to 4 days between each step)

Cons

Once you onboard a company (I work for Trilogy), it is quite hectic and not easy to get onboarded as everyone is loaded with work, and it can get pretty overwhelming given the remote, asynchronous nature of the work

Thanks for your review! We take transparency very seriously - your time is valuable and we want you to know exactly what to expect. It's great to hear you appreciate that. We understand asynchronous work takes some getting used to, and we appreciate your feedback on onboarding, which we will pass along to our team.

Pros

A great opportunity to explore the world while sitting in your own work place and to experience working with multinational teams to polish your skills

Cons

The only downside for me, which is not with just this company but also with any other remote, is that sometimes you may face a difficulty in connectivity as the other team members and seniors may be in a different time zone and when you want to talk to them, to get some help, it may take a while.

Thanks for your five star review! It's awesome to hear how much you value working on a diverse remote team. A big part of that is embracing not only work from anywhere, but also work from any time, and we agree that it can take some time to get used to. But with strong documentation and async communication, we've found that most people ultimately thrive in this environment.
