Opportunity, but employees are disposable

Pros

You can work remotely and earn a reasonable wage even if you life in a wage depressed area. Working from home with flexible hours means you can balance your family and work life and even work around disabilities of life challenges like caring for young children or other family members.

Cons

Though you can get long term assignments, most of the companies are all part of the same investment portfolio and the big focus is making sure stock prices for these companies are good for investors. This means that really good people often have their assignments ended due to budget reasons and this often leaves the employees feeling like they are disposable.

All of our open positions are 100% remote full-time contracts for 40 hours per week. This might have been possible in years ago when there were doing more project-based work but these are all long-term positions.

Pros

1. Remote work. 2. Good salary. 3. Possibility to manage your day's free time. 4. Your work metrics related on 99% of your work contribution and not on any other activity which could have place in regular office work.

Cons

1. You should communicate enough via video/voice/chat meetings to make connection with people to make it firm and show your activity because you are not meeting them face to face like in office work. 2. Depends of team assigned it could be good healthy working environment. You have to choose since after entrance test completed usually you are getting several interview and getting offers if it successfully passed. Some of the teams work in pretty stressful pace.
