The WorkSmart productivity tracker is designed to give insight into a worker's productivity, but it's not the whole story. It's similar to how coaches use fitbits to track athletes' heartbeat and footsteps – this provides a data input which can be useful for coaching but isn't intended as a holistic measure of technique, ability or contribution. The webcam photos may sound daunting at first but realistically isn't much different from a traditional office environment where your computer is typically in view of others. As long as you focus on your work, there's nothing to worry about. If you need to do something else, no problem – just pause the timer. And if a timecard is incorrectly marked as idle, also no problem – you can reclassify it as 'not idle' and enter a note to clarify.
