Pros

Cotopaxi has been experiencing hyper growth over the past 2 years. This brings with it tremendous personal/professional growth opportunities but also requires a lot of flexibility from employees. The organization is still very much in startup mode, nimble, with limited resources, flat hierarchies and an expectation of a 'can do/yes' attitude and growth mindset. This also includes culture which is ever changing, without losing sight of the true 'why' of the brand re global poverty alleviation.

Cons

"People want to be part of a rapidly growing organization but they don't want things to change." This was shared by an experienced CEO whose organization had also undergone rapid growth over the past few years. It rings true to me. Employees for whom structure and process maturity is a must to thrive, this may not be the place... yet.

- This is a work place full of passionate and compassionate professionals - The culture is built around doing good, service and kindness, exceptionalism, and adventure - You get to wear many hats, take on big responsibilities, and have ownership in your role - If you enjoy being part of building, growing, and creating, this is an awesome startup to be at - Managers are competent, humble, and care about their teams - The social mission - what a breath of fresh air to work somewhere where there is deeper purpose to our work - Work-life balance is great. Unlimited time off. Encouragement to travel. Most people leave the office by 5pm - Leadership values diversity - there are tons of women in leadership roles and on the board

Cons

- There is more work to be done than time in the day, so you have to be good at prioritizing. - It is a startup, so processes and systems are not always ironed out - It's a team of optimists and no tolerance for jerks - if you're someone who doesn't get along with others, you won't last long here
