Appeared to be a good company with good values. Not.

Cons

Not what it appears to be, once you’re inside. Convergint hired a bunch of ex Simplex employees as managers in Boston. They’re the same ones that sold their souls to Tyco. They may look good in a suit and talk-the-talk, but it’s all a charade. Cut throat and narcissistic. Backstabbers and petty. Not trusted. Really unfortunate.

Pros

One of the highest paying companies around with nearly unlimited overtime. Company truck that you take home, they help with tools to a point, lead techs are almost always knowledgeable and will help/train new guys.

Cons

No personal life, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY, nepotism, managent with ZERO security experience, no tools for success, senior techs get treated poorly at times and taken advantage of, management bends rules when it benefits them.

Convergint offers a place to grow and develop your career. They promote personal growth and offer a challenging place to gain wisdom.

Cons

As a company grows some of the culture can become diluted. I see this a little at Convergint but they are fighting hard to keep it current. I think that they will succeed in keeping the foundation of Convergint, Culture, alive.
