Pros

Remote work is the norm. Pay is decent for work from home talent acquisition. Benefits are outstanding and diversity and equity are promoted and respectfully key to the core values of the organization.

Cons

Management is mixed. Some are absolutely amazing and some are beyond atrocious talking down to employees. Your success depends on your leaders and in many cases they are ineffective at best. Losing accounts like crazy as they oversell and under deliver. Layoffs attributable to farming critical work out to Argentina, Mexico and the Philippines.

Hello, this is Kirsten Mayer, EVP - People & Culture. Firstly. thank you for taking the time to leave a review with such candor. I acknowledge we have been navigating some difficult conversations over the past 12-18 months, as like many other businesses in our position we have unfortunately been impacted by the economic environment and a number of other factors outside of our control. With this being said, it is unfortunate this results in teams being disbanded, and recognize the importance of retaining and developing talent within our organization. It's disappointing, however, to learn about the challenges you faced with certain aspects of management and the impact it had on your overall experience. As always, we closely examine our promotion and project assignment practices to ensure that the best leaders are actively contributing to the success of their teams. Your insights are invaluable to us as we strive to create a workplace that not only promotes diversity and equity but also fosters an environment of continuous improvement. While I cannot comment on your personal experience in detail via an anonymous platform, if you are open to further discussion in confidence, please feel free to reach out to me directly at Kirsten.Mayer@cielotalent.com. We genuinely appreciate your commitment during your tenure with us and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Its great to be able to work fully remote, a luxury becoming more and more scarce.

Cons

There is an unspoken expectation of working way beyond your contracted hours. Recruiters are tired and exhausted and there isn't enough recruiters on each account.

While it's great we have the advantage of working remotely to suit the balance of personal and professional lives, it seems there is some room for improvement. Please know we take these matters seriously, as we are committed to ensuring Cielo is a workplace where individuals feel they wellbeing is being prioritised. I strongly encourage you to discuss the points you've raised with our People & Culture team, if not I am more than welcome to have a conversation with you in confidence. Pros

Very smart people solving tough problems for some marquee clients and teams. The company has a desire to think big and moves quickly to change and address issues and the market

Cons

Too many initiatives and haste doesn't always work. Also, leadership is a very tight, closed loop at the top - it's an exclusive club with no room for entry to outsiders at times.

Hi, this is Tara Cassady, Chief Strategy Officer. I appreciate your recognition of ‘smart people solving tough problems for marquee clients’. I greatly value the teams we have working together to help our clients- and it isn’t easy work. We do have big aspirations, which can result in what feels like too many initiatives, I am sure. I would be happy to connect live and learn more about how the initiatives we are driving our translation for our team members. Your perspective underscores the importance of thoughtful decision-making and strategic planning, and we'll take these into consideration as we continue to navigate the market. Also, I firmly believe the need for inclusivity and understand that fostering a more open culture is crucial for long-term success. We are actively working on creating an environment that values diverse perspectives and ensures that everyone, regardless of their tenure, feels empowered to contribute meaningfully to our shared goals. If you have additional insights or suggestions, please feel free to reach out directly to me at Tara.Cassady@cielotalent.com, your leader, or People & Culture. Your voice is essential, and we look forward to working together to make our company an even better place for everyone.
