      Pros

      Chevron is great about their retirement packages. They emphasize a work-life balance, safety and being ergonomically correct.

      Cons

      What the company says and what they do are two different things. Leaders pay lip service to the values that Chevron once held dear. Though they emphasize work-life balance, employees routinely work more than 50 hours per week. Layoffs have increased the workload of many. Taking time off for personal events is looked down upon. Working on weekends, days off and vacations is becoming the norm.

      Pros

      Global company, with excellent opportunities abroad during the good times. Often good working conditions (e.g. you can take every second friday off, if you have accrued enough hours).

      Cons

      Knee jerk reactions from management during downturns. Uk is a dull place to work- mediocre to poor projects and below average salaries for the sector. A lack of transparency from management.
