Decent flight benefits, local culture of teamwork and collaboration

Cons

Leadership in HKG only sees costs and doesn’t invest in their people or their peoples’ long term future. It used to be a place you could grow your career and retire, now everyone is expendable. No one is safe, even if you’re a high performer. There is no such thing as work/life anymore. Staff levels are constantly being winnowed down and those that remain are required to do more with less until they burnout.

Free or discounted air tickets. Medical benefits, but not as comprehensive as in the past. A well-established brand with a long history.

Cons

Low salary and uncompetitive compensation. Heavy workload with many tasks assigned to one person, no work-life balance, frequent overtime work. Poor communication and inefficiency due to information gaps between departments. Limited career growth and difficult promotions since limited positions offered. Not very supportive seniors with poor guidance for newcomers. Excessive unproductive meetings reducing efficiency. High turnover rate lead to high number of inexperienced staff.
