Pros

Great idea Good brand Free mattress

Cons

The most unorganized place I’ve ever worked. Aside from the extensive analysis you have to do on mattress sales, the company can sell you a great idea but poorly deliver. Lack of clear communication between cooperates vision to stores.

Pros

Lots of talented Store Managers who are supportive and engaging peers. Generous discount on amazing products. Learn how to operate a successful retail business. Nice store environment.

Cons

Growth at all costs mindset for years. Constantly restructuring teams, changing roles, laying people off, etc. The amount of money spent on everything from marketing to retail store build outs is beyond disproportionate to revenue, it’s not surprising that the company is still unprofitable. Rapid NSOs outpaced any meaningful structure with product allocation and inventory management. Casper is terribly behind with technology, one example being you have to manually scan out products sold in stores to properly account for inventory levels. Another example is lacking the ability to send a customer who visited a link to purchase online and ultimately attribute that sale to retail. Consistent promotional pricing bugs. It is a mystery as to how sales targets are forecasted and there is no commission for how much you contribute. Expectations to work alone for hours, sometimes the entire day and over 8 hours when staffing gets tight.

Pros

Great immediate team, perks were great when I first started and have leveled out to average/slightly above average.

Cons

Red tape around compensation, lack of transparency about "rules" regarding promotions and comp adjustments. Discuss your pay with each other! SL makes rash reactive decisions borne from panic versus thoughtful planning and execution. I don't see this company existing in the next five years, unless it's bought out by a larger sleep company and heavily consolidated.
