Pros

Brilliant coworkers with a ton of energy and no ego, a great office environment and incredibly positive reception of our product/brand/Company from the outside make Casper an organization I'm proud and excited to be a part of. Since business is booming and the cofounders are inarguably the hardest working people at the company, not having a clear vision of where the company will be in 6/12/24 months is exciting—not scary. I'm confident that Casper will continue to get bigger, better and smarter each month moving forward for a very long time. Our opportunities for growth—as a business and as individuals within the organization—seem limitless. Strong culture of perks (free lunch, unlimited snacks, fitness stipend, happy hours, lunch & learn, monthly outings + more) reinforces that will continue to celebrate our success as long as we continue to work incredibly hard & execute.

Cons

Typical growing pains of rapid growth startups. Not enough processes are in place for on-boarding and growing vertically/horizontally in the organization, but management seems to be working on them right now.

Pros

Working at Casper is truly a pleasure. I have never been happier! I would say the thing that stands out most to me working here is the pride that not only myself but that all of my colleagues share. We are so proud to be apart of this journey! I would say Casper does a tremendous job of empowering their employees - if you want something, it is possible, but the ball is in your court. There is so much opportunity for growth and change - I am constantly learning something new every day. The people are what make Casper feel like family - you wont find anyone like them anywhere else. Aside from all of that, as if that is not enough, the benefits of working at Casper are more than generous, they really know how to take care of their employees! Not to mention, the bed is well, the perfect mattress!

Cons

There really aren't many cons - I would rather use the word challenges. When working in a start up things are constantly changing and sometimes there are procedures or protocols that haven't yet been set in place that can sometime prove challenging. With that, I do think that this also opens a door to a great learning opportunity.

Smart, Driven People Who Work Hard and Play Hard

Pros

Casper is an amazing place to work. The culture has bred a community of smart, driven people who work incredibly hard but also find ample time to play. One of the best things about the company is the attitude: no one takes themselves too seriously and transparency and accessibility are established from day one. Other than the perks (unlimited vacation, free beds, catered lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays, great healthcare and a fitness stipend), there are a lot of company wide events across all teams. The hours are fair and the pay is good for a NYC startup.

Cons

With overwhelming popularity and a competitive market, for the most part, the company feels like it’s keeping up with demand. As with any startup, there are growing pains. Even though each team is open to cross-pollination, in the majority of instances, you really have to seek it out and find the time.
