Too many "Cons" to list but basically to sum it up, and the reason I suggested the name change to "Don't-Carestream", is simply because upper management does not care about the employee. They have fallen into the same trap many companies have as of these days, but are the worst of all companies I've worked for.
I'm referring to...
(1) Trying to do more with less resulting in burnt-out engineers and technicians.
(2) Overloading and overworking employees that are doing the work of 2-3 employees.
(3) Pretending their main focus is on safety until it affects profits then anything goes.
(4) Pretending they are paying for performance but really just dividing up a tiny department merit increase amongst the number of employees forcing the focus to be on the negative instead of the positive so they can lower your rating.
(5) Too many managers that only care about climbing the ladder instead of supporting their employees and motivating their employees to want to perform at 110%.
(6) Because they are so short-handed, Engineers end up spending their day fighting the day-to-day fires instead of working on new ideas and designs that will improve efficiency.
(7) All leadership support goes to focusing on the customer, the board, and shareholder, while the employee is forgotten and considered disposable.
Even a year after the closure of the Colorado facility in 2024 and the layoff of over 200 employees, all the managers are still employed and working in their new and smaller facility (with no employees to manage, who knows what they're coming up with to look like they're busy).
