Management, benefits, 401k match, health insurance, job function, work, people, you pretty much name it.
This job constantly feels like I am trying to stay afloat in a boat that has gaping holes in it. Every single second is a fire drill and there is never room to actually do a job. The upper management has been lied to by middle management because they are trying to preserve their projects. None of the middle management reports the problems that the engineers bring up until $1 million is on the line and by then it's too late.
There is a serious disconnect between R&D and manufacturing. It's like working with a separate company. Management doesn't seem to mind. They will take what they need from you and then can you at the first chance they can.
They bait you in with a decent base salary and then never promote or give you an opportunity for growth. Bare minimum pay increases year after year, which don't even keep up with inflation. They're not committed to career development because there is no time to do trainings because of the fire drills.
Make no mistake about it, this company is dying quickly. There is no commitment to R&D or any new products. Just trying to milk the current ones for all they're worth and then panic when the site/company dies. Unless you want to gain experience in archaic technologies that the company still can't seem to figure out, you best be looking somewhere else for employment.
