Pros

This company seems to hire anyone, qualified or not. They just hope or do not care if you are any good or not. A great place to start out, get your foot in the door. Here you can learn very basic but solid troubleshooting and customer service. They are a stable company and paychecks come on time as well as providing a minimal amount of time off/sick time.

Cons

Their pay scale is fairly non existent. Be prepared to work there for a year and leave, there are absolutely NO incentives to stay and work there for longer than it takes to find a new job. You will not be rewarded for a job well done, they are a revolving door for everyone not just tech support. Expect to have 3-5 different managers in your first year. No relationships will be gained and you will constantly have to keep proving yourself to someone new who is out to prove to their supervisors how good they are at trimming the fat. Raises are insultingly small if at all. The work load is stacked against you and the senior management are the types who complain about poor profits while taking huge bonuses for themselves. Don't expect them to last either. Not a place to have a career, just a place to get experience and then leave as soon as something better comes along.

Not a positive experience

Pros

Compensation was adequate and many people were good work with.

Cons

Usable training was scarce and inconsistent. Office politics are problematic. Understaffed such that delivering all that was expected was not realistic. Actual job duties did not align with what was discussed in the interview process. Some in supervisory roles were proficient in their field of expertise, but not in supervision or managing others.

Cost Cuttings are Effecting the Company

Business Outlook

Pros

Best people out there. Love our teams and the people we work with.

Cons

Salaries are at the bottom of the industry, yes I know HR will say they've run "studies" that show we're not but we see this every day and you are in denial. More cost cutting is being driven every day and it's impacting the company. There are no back-ups for people, so if someone is on vacation nothing happens, wait for them to return. We're cutting customer facing people and it shows. Less phone support, fewer sales people, and not enough service people to support your customers but upper management doesn't want to hear it so they're ears are plugged. All the talk is of moving to a new HQ building. CEO said that people are working in a dreary depressing building.... It's not the building,.. Changing the building will not change the morale of your people. People are on edge wondering if they'll be axed next, the new building won't change that...

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely appreciate your dedication and candor about your experience at Carestream Health. We are thrilled to hear that you value the people and the teams you work with. We believe our employees are our greatest asset, and it’s heartening to see this sentiment shared. Regarding your concern about salaries, we understand the importance of competitive compensation. While we recognize there may be differing perspectives, we are committed to continually reviewing and adjusting our compensation packages to remain competitive and fair. The points you raised about cost-cutting and its impact on operations are taken seriously. We are actively working on strategies to balance cost efficiency with maintaining robust customer support and operational effectiveness. Your feedback about the need for adequate backup and sufficient support staff is valuable, and we are looking into ways to address these issues. The new building is part of our broader effort to improve the work environment, but we understand that physical space alone won't resolve deeper concerns. We are committed to addressing the root causes of low morale and job security. Your insights about the anxiety surrounding job stability are crucial, and we are exploring initiatives to improve communication and transparency to alleviate these concerns. We value your feedback and are dedicated to making Carestream Health a better place to work for everyone. Please feel free to reach out to your HR team directly if you have more suggestions or concerns. Thank you again for your valuable input and for being a part of our team.
