You will have many frustrations with customers taking your time to assist them to find the type of car they want and they go elsewhere to buy it or their current car is not paid off enough for them to be able to afford a new one. Managers will be on your case if you are not selling enough cars. Some do it in a constructive way to help you, others just annoying. Most of your customers will be selling a car and not buying. That takes your time and most don't want to sell after they see your offer.

Long hours, no work life balance. Lots of meetings without pay. Micromanaging all your functions. Your conversation with customers on the phone is played on a speakers for everyone to hear and critique instead of management taking the time to do their job of training you properly. Sales Consultant are not really sales people you do appraisals mostly which you don't get paid for unless the customer sells cars to carmax. Most of the time customers don't sell their cars due to low appraisal value. Very high employee turnover. Your job responsibility is a process you are not allowed to think outside the box or give suggestion. If you don't mind being a robot this might be a job for you.
