Pros

•Good hours •decent pay •good co workers •able to branch in different directions

Cons

My job is technically a detailer but I’m listed as a qct (quality control technician) I’m new I just started last week 1st day I was introduced to the techs and painter everyone was nice. But there isn’t really any formal training, I’ve previously detailed for other individuals as a mobile detailer so I don’t need much training when it comes to knowing how to properly clean and detail vehicles. But things like the type of chemicals and product used in our shop was kinda a mystery and was pointed what is supposed to be used for what pretty simple there is just a lot of missed small things I had to figure out like looking for overspray (I’ve never looked for that before) and how to read a estimate so I know what not to use a mit on and just pressure wash it I kinda just had to figure it out which is okay for me but for someone that may not be like me it could cause a ton a problems. Not to mention I just went to a newer shop and checked out the bay they can fit full sized trucks and suvs in their bay and properly clean it, here at our shop I I have to make sure I don’t shut the door on the vehicle I can’t even walk behind it I have to pull out and back in after getting the front portion of the vehicle and the pressure washer hose barely reaches opposite side of the vehicle. The entire shop is close quarters

Pros

It is a stable job with a company that is not going anywhere. The benefits aren’t that bad.

Cons

There isn’t enough vacation time. It is commission based and you have to walk a fine line of getting the most you can from the insurance companies. The collision techs and painters are not on your side.

Pros

NONE. NONE. NONE. NONE. NONE. NONE. NONE

Cons

The management IS TOXIC and ABUSIVE. The behavior is accepted and promoted. This company does not pay based on experience but by favoritism. The manager was verbally abusive in the open and was promoted despite the complaints against her. The manager lies to cover her own mistakes and covers up the mistakes of those she favors. Also, the employee pays more in premiums than the employer.
