Pros

Good schedule but that’s it

Cons

Terrible place -they only care about making more money. No ancillary help at all and you have to run back and forth between 2 rooms to covid test patients in between your other patients. They let patients who know they have covid sign up for COVID treatment and sit in the waiting room next to older patients waiting for vaccines- shame on CVS! I don’t know how they get away with bringing all of these patients into the store who know they have covid. They do not care about their employees or the general public at all. Run as fast and you can!

Pros

Great people Permanent WFH Great hours Decent pay Ok benefits

Cons

They say you will get 6 weeks of training but what you really get is 2.5 weeks of learning a ton of information once, with no practice, and then being set loose on actual members. You can not switch positions for 6 months. They would rather have you quit and reapply for a new position (waste of money if you ask me ) thank move you to a position that you maybe better suited for. Lots of angry people that you really have no way to help -you are told to not remember anything but to research everything but researching tool is one of the most confusing things ever. From the moment you get out of training they want you to be talking call for 100% of shift. There is a button your supposed to be able to use for after call work (to type notes and regroup after bad calls) but then are told you are not allowed to use it Peers get to listen to your calls and tell you how to do it better. Only interaction I ever had with my supervisor was through chat. Not even so much as a zoom meeting to Introduce themselves or get to know any of the people underneath them.

Pros

If you love to work overtime, I mean a lot of overtime to pay off debt, come work here, fair pto.

Cons

CVS specialty pharmacy Mount Prospect IL is a joke, the management at this location sucks and are extremely incompetent, they call the job title Benefits Verification, but you end up processing claims, processing prior authorization, receiving inbound calls like a call center and doing benefits verification. The job title is a scam, management does not trust the employee for a bit, they set ridiculous metrics that are so unrealistic and put employees under pressure to meet metrics, your idle time is being monitored like a clock, you can't be on the phone doing CVS work without pressing a button to reduce your idle time, you can't lock your computer screen for too long as the Lock Screen time is counting against you, when you are on you have to be actively working. IT FEELS LIKE SLAVERY WORKING HERE!!! The turn over rate here is massive, they have compulsory overtime during the peak season and also block out months where you can not take anytime off. You can't move around at this company, either you either move within your team or you move out.
