Pros

Absolutely nothing is good about being a tech for CVS. Maybe if it’s close to your house and you’re 17 fresh out of high school. I thought it would be less stressful than Walgreen’s. Worst decision of my life.

Cons

4 years experience at Walgreen’s and it meant nothing. I left Walgreen’s making $18.75 I was hired at CVS at $17.00 was given 10 cents after first year, and this year I was bumped up to$18.05. They hired me with intentions to be full-time with immunization experience and bilingual. Twenty months later and I remained part-time. Trainees there before me were prioritized full-time over a Certified technician. Even a trainee transfer from another store was given full-time. Professionally offensive budget allocation for techs. You will consistently fall behind in production every few months. Then they will authorize budget to clean it up. I was more offended with district and regional leadership pushing this idea they care ALL the time. So fake it is offensive.

Pros

I was content here while I was working in 2020, but things have drastically changed.

Cons

I write this bc I feel scared for New grads that are lured in. I am glad I did not return. Two providers that worked here recently have shared how greedy this company has become and how unsafe and pushy they have started to be with provider workload. This is not a position for new grads, as it used to be-even then I would be worried for you because you are essentially alone. I must do my part to voice to companies like these to please STOP abusing your providers.

Pros

Great annual bonus You can manage a good WLB if you have any sense about you

Cons

The tech is super antiquated and unreliable. There is no documentation. Application ownership gets shuffled around from team to team every quarter so its near impossible to get support on legacy code. there is so much red tape around everything that its impossible to even improve anything for yourself because other people are blocking it from happening. management doesn't listen. the company is so large its near impossible to make meaningful improvements. constantly churn out MVP's and never improve on anything. its really just a giant mess. They are pushing for RTO even though all the workers are spread out over the country.
