Pros
You can leave work at work. Opportunities to advance. Providers are extremely hard working Love my coworkers Addition of nurses has been great
Cons
Providers are expect to do it all from cleaning the bathrooms to putting insurance info in, seeing the patients, ordering and unpacking supplies. Then add in “mandatory” training but no additional time is allotted to complete it. We are expected to complete it in between patients. This model will not survive “Patient Care Transformation” if management doesn’t allow for administrative time each day, additional support staff and increased pay. New grad NPs working in primary care are getting offers that are the same or more than what NPs working at MC for almost 10 years make. Bonuses and merit increases are minuscule - less than $1/year and you’re lucky if you even get a bonus. Meanwhile the CVS senior management is making $30+million/year
