      Pros

      CVS is a great place to work if you like structure and rules. There are so many minute details that must be followed which makes it a well-oiled company. The employee discount is also very nice!

      Cons

      The rules are sometimes overwhelming because you are chastised if you do not follow them properly. I feel the pay is not as competitive as it should be for it to be such a powerful company.

      Pros

      Strong job security, easy to get in, wide salary range so you can negotiate it up easily, strong growing company.

      Cons

      Not a true "store manager" - hours are so tight you have to stock, unload trucks, ring, merchandise, basically do everything yourself. Very physical job.

      Pros

      Generally, very clean stores. The atmosphere of the stores is simply far more pleasant a place to spend several hours a day in than most retail stores. Other than an occasional day with an urgent and large work volume, the work environment is casual enough that a person can enjoy their time in the store.

      Cons

      Because most stores are smaller than many retail stores, the typical CVS can at times get busy for the amount of staff on hand. It is retail, so employees can expect to have to work at least some holidays and at least one weekend day - more if involved in management in any way (supervisors, assitants, and managers).
