Long Time Store Manager Worn Out

Pros

Job is secure as long as you make your numbers or show consistent progress. Decent benefits. Good salary.

Cons

Low wages for hourly employees makes hiring and keeping good help nearly impossible. Long hours required from salaried managers to keep store in presentable shape as payroll budgets are cut more every year. Corporate micro-management of arbitrary metric targets.

Pros

PTO/HOLIDAY Pay there is always over time, we were like a big family, birthdays were celebrated, and other achievements. You get a better understanding of people and their situation which makes your job easier

Cons

Management is disrespectful, and upper management always sides with the supervisor even if you have proof.9/10 if you give a 2 weeks notice they will let you go that day and not pay you for tune two weeks

"Because Money is Everything"

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Salary is competitive for a pharmacist.

Cons

No tech help, awful supervisors who only care about money. Lots of unethical activity. They want you to put people on auto refill and script sync without their permission. Also with PCQ calls they want to refill medications patients don't need without their permission. The only thing that matters is the metrics. They could careless about the patients, only the metrics are important. You could be Pharmacist of the year and every patient could love you, but if you don't meet your metrics they will make your live miserable. Also doesn't matter if you are a tech or pharmacist you better get used to working off the clock for free. It is expected and if you don't you will be replaced or they will make your life even more miserable. It will get worse too. The sales are down and they are losing more insurance companies. What makes it real bad is the image they try to convey. They say CVS is about health, but that's the thing they care about least. Money is all that matters.
