Great Toolbox of Resources that is often overlooked

Very good salary and benefits, interesting and challenging mix of work assignments, brilliant co-workers who amaze me with their talents and knowledge

Cons

Lack of recognition and promotion if you are not a project manager or in an engineering discipline. Having been with CH2M a very long time, I have witnessed rapid growth and mergers/acquisitions that has resulted in aggressively pursuing large-scale projects. This has led to some problems. Sales and project teams are unaware of company resources that are available (whether people or technical tools) and so these resources often go unused or used only by a few. This leads to poor decisions during reorganization or downsizing.

One of the main reasons we’re moving to this model is to break down silos and create common processes that support all of CH2M.

Pros

Salary but then it is not the only way to attract and maintain talent. There is no pro for this engineering.

Cons

This global engineering is one of the worst employer I've ever had. The upper management was re-organizing the company and laid off many people. No support whatsoever and straight micro-management.

Pros

Nice office, software that is needed is available. Friendly people at the working level (sr mgt is unapproachable). Employee owned company

Cons

All the "little yellow book" is just propaganda there is unfortunately nothing behind it. Can't speak for all minorities but if you are female don't except to be given the same career opportunities as your equally or even less qualified male co workers.
