CGI - Montreal

Pros

CGI will not force you to stay in a mandate if you had enough. If you do not have a mandate they will pay you to stay in the office (inter-mandate). Good salary.

Cons

Being a consultant, I'm always out of the office and I do net get any mentoring, support from CGI. You better learn by yourself. Not being in the office, it’s very difficult to get a promotion. No bonuses (profit sharing) and when we get one it’s around 250$.

OK, but the work gets stale in a hurry

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits, relatively low stress for lower end employees. A fine place to work if you enjoy working on the same project or product indefinitely.

Cons

Top-down management style, extremely poor collaboration between departments and employees, and continuing education is completely neglected, something I find unacceptable in a technology company.

Pros

The colleagues are competent and hard-working! The company's upper-most leadership in Canada seem to really care about the employees. The benefits are good.

Cons

The local management is not attuned to the employees. Employees are not valued for their experience and are treated as indispensable.
