      It's a SCHOOL.. maybe a Primary School. Join If you want to relax and if you are a manager who hate his current job.

      Lateral compensation Shift Allowance Great place to be , if you are looking to relax

      Cons

      Micro- management to a huge level Drives by politcs Hr practices are diplomatic Less Transparency in policies like leaves, WFH, oncall,etc.... Management clueless about there team's competencies Nothing moves without an escalation Leads and managers are there to track member's every small details as they have no other work. Quality of work is pathetic. CGI earns majorly from MS Excel. If you are good at Excel. u are gooing to get huge recognition

      Pros

      Good company where you can expand your knowledge in any stream which you are interested.

      Cons

      CGI is my first company, so I don't see any downsides here. But from my friend's view CGI is good.

      Great benefits - poor senior management - terrible terrible training

      Pros

      CGI Federal offered decent entry level compensation, and great benefits.

      Cons

      However the training was true abominable and one of the worst I've ever seen/been through. They are not clear about what position you've been hired for and then throw you into a few weeks of general training while still unclear about what you're even there to do. Things get better once you get matched with a "buddy" and start to learn your job. But the training does next to nothing to prepare you for the job. Additionally, at least at the Lebanon, VA CGI Federal offices, management was poor and there was virtually NO work-life balance built in.
