Pros

Sometimes there's free food and there is a nice rooftop.

Cons

This is the place you have nightmares about!! I have NEVER worked with so many "busy" nonproductive people before in my life. There are meetings to discuss meetings about the last meeting that took place 2 months prior - without any real plan to execute and get things done...a complete waste of time. Almost all of the employees there have a certain "I'm better than you" disposition about themselves; cocky even. Down right nasty and rude if you happen to fall slightly below their pay grade. There's is only one person that comes to mind as an ELT member that will actually open her mouth and speak (or speak back) to you if you should so happen to bypass her in the hallway (she's on the second floor). There is so much "turn-around" in the office that you're not sure who's coming and who's going. All of the positions are contracted out, and there's no real feel of stability because every other day someone is resigning. The contractors are forced to feel like "real" employees until that ridiculous all-staff meeting comes around when they're then made to stay at their desk to avoid them sharing the great secrets of CFP BOARD (turn on full sarcasm)! People are only excited about the food, and an opportunity to not be at their desk waiting for the next fire to put out that someone else caused. Nobody actually listens to Kevin, and spends more time getting caught up on their Facebook newsfeed or texting all of their friends back. The HR department (if you choose to acknowledge it as such) is by far the saddest example of what Human Resources should actually be. They have no knowledge of the rules, regulations, and guidelines set forth by the government. They try to overwhelm you with paperwork, majority of which is not applicable, in hope that you will not do your own research and find out things for yourself. They offer no maternity, subpar benefits, increase your medical/dental premiums every chance they get, and offer little to no assistance with preparation for your future. If your not desperate, don't do it!
