Good career starter, very bad long term
Pros
You get paid well if you're willing to travel and work night shifts, perdiems got reinstated (after some of the best engineers left) and you're paid overtime. Colleagues are funny to be around and helpful (although depends on departments) but otherwise very friendly place to be and good engineers overall.
Cons
Management is very bad probably because most of them are salesmen and marketing, not many bright minds up there. They Recruit VPs with no aviation industry experience and that says a lot about the mentality. They are incapable of creating a new product or creating a new market for a new product that they invented; the only way for them to grow revenue is to cut salaries and benefits from employees. Since 2009 this company is going downhill and clients see that CAE simulators are worse and worse (quality wise) because the engineering talent is leaving (or left already) and hiring standards are becoming very low, so occasionally you'll meet some people that have no clue how to use a pointer in C. It's very sad because I remember where this company used to be 6 years ago and it's just downhill from here.
