Pros

They had pretty good benefits and seemed to have a lot of programs in place for their employees; definitely as a culture they support work-life balance

Cons

Unchecked employee bullying from management, peers, and HR. Poor to no expectations of what they wanted, shrugged at when I asked during several meetings what it is they wanted and how I could meet their expectations, and extreme favouritism. Very disgusting. Never seen anything like it.

Pros

They migrate the system to Guidewire in 2012 which is great. Location and Cafeteria is good.

Cons

Very poor leadership. There is not value for your work. They only value you if you talk sweet and are in good terms with the Sr. manager. New position get filled without new job openings and are mostly gone to Sr. Manager's friends. I've seen same person got promoted to new role twice in a year without new job opening or competition. Promotions are always a secret for obvious reason. Extremely political environment. I’ve seen some very talented analyst and developer leave this company because of office politics. No appreciation for your work, not even a simple thank you. If you dare to question the leadership, expect HR to bully you. Pay is low compared to industry. One thing that surprise me is how this company continue to win top GTA employer despite the high employee turnover rate.

From good to bad.

Pros

Great people, great company history, provides a great service to the community. Promotes internally, great potential growth. This company has been a very profitable company. Curiously a non-profit organization.

Cons

Horrible management in the last 6 years or so, high turnover rates, lots of layoffs and benefits packages for employees are getting worse. Pay increases are exponential for senior management and above, while employee benefits decrease and salary rates of increase are minimal.
