Marketing efforts were ineffective, with responsibilities frequently shifted back to store staff. Despite paying external agencies, management continued to insist their methods were successful, even when evidence suggested otherwise. Excessive micromanagement was imposed through mandatory daily reflections and detailed task logs.
Although the company claims to be relocating, terminating all staff contradicts standard practices seen with other brands in ION, who retain employees during such transitions. It felt like a “Cinderella” situation — no matter how hard we worked, we were ultimately discarded while management’s focus remained elsewhere. The brand appeared to be treated primarily as a franchise revenue source rather than a valued team.
