Pros

The good news: it easy to get a job there. Not too much background in management needed, just lots of sports knowledge will do.

Cons

The bad news: you just might get the job. When you do, be prepared to be thrown into an environment where you're mostly a stocking grunt. No reason to plan or set goals for the actual running of the store. Just set up the registers, stock the truck and help customers along the way.

Depressing place to work

Pros

You get to work in a somewhat sports related environment. They are always hiring, and should hire you if you are somewhat competent or trustworthy.

Cons

Making your way up from a trainee is slow and boring. The pay will never be good, and you will have to work every single weekend, and work multiple nights per week. They do not care about your personal happiness in that you have to be available to work every shift every week. So you can never have consistent outside interests like taking a class, or playing on a softball team, etc.
