Pros

Larger regional firm experience. Variety of clients, industries and size of organizations. Training opportunities. Very nice offices. Food on Saturdays during the busy season.

Cons

Excessive turnover about 50-60% per year in my group. They actually lied to me about this in the interview process. I was told turnover wasn't "too bad". It was in reality, amazingly high. Extremely political, cookie-cutter mentaility towards staff needs. Too much travel, especially in the summer, when staff would meet a boy or girl they would quit (thus more turnover). Unrealistic budgets, leads to staff not recording all their time on engagements to stay out of trouble.

Pros

1. Paid disconnect days during the summer 2. Flexible PTO 3. No aggressive RTO policy/remote first environment

Cons

1. No diversity at all 2. Teams often work in silos and do not like to collaborate with other teams/leaders for political and egotistical reasons. 3. Culture is very political in various ways - be ready to play the game to keep your job. 4. Low quality leaders across the board - barely anyone knows what they are doing and lack accountability. This falls back on middle managers. 5. Rude leaders who talk down to employees - arguments/high tensions break out in meetings every week. Very much bully culture. 6. High emphasis on no diversity (take this as a pro or con depending on who you are] but to me it was a con because you can tell they are only interested in hiring and/or retaining certain individuals. If you are a BIPOC- be warned. 7. Middle market firm . Better off working for a Big 10 (Mckinsey, Deloitte, BCG, etc.) 8. Quiet layoffs

Pros

Fake enthusiasm from recruiter, they make great promises

Cons

Talent recruiter has full of faux enthusiasm and will provide you unreasonable explanations Recruiter did not have decency to follow up in person as promised Recruiter had advised next call would be to set up interview then sent an very impersonable email saying would no longer be considered
