A meritocratic culture, flexible work, approachable upper management, decent medical and dental. Interesting work in a "old-time telecom equipment company" transitioning into a "new age startupy tech company". Fast paced work environment, good opportunities to learn, and be promoted.

Cons

Virtually no 401K. "Unlimited vacation" is a double-edged sword. Financial pressure leads to staff reductions and constant canceling of projects, "change of direction", and rumors about the company being sold or divesting business lines. Benefits and pay below industry average.

Cons

The company is undergoing significant changes, with little leadership or vision to help navigate through the change. Morale is at an all time low. Exceptional leaders are leaving the company or looking to exit. Too performers have no career path and are not promoted to positions that leverage their experience or skill sets. There is,a lack of understanding of performance metrics and how to impact. Employee feedback and ideas are not heard or valued. Too much ambiguity at all levels.
