      Pros

      Flexible schedule, generally good co-workers, ability to work from home (but that is shrinking greatly over the last year).

      Cons

      Advancement in my area is a joke. Been played for the last 3 - 4 years. Now my SVP decided that he wants all US employees within eye shot, so 14 of us were given the option to re-apply & relocate (at my expense) with not job guarantees, do nothing & be let go from the company, 13 of the 14 are leaving Avaya through option 3, take current enhanced separation plan.

      Great colleagues with diverse background and knowledge

      Cons

      Endless downsizing and shrinking to meet shrinking revenue, more and more reliance on partnerships to go to market. Poor leadership at the top, going all the way back to Don Peterson.

      Pros

      OK Salary, Ability to telecommute (if you are in the right organization unit), Good talent and nice people to work with.

      Cons

      A 5 Billion (billions with a B) dollars debt!!!! Minimal raises, low bonuses (even to high performers), lower than average benefits: very high deductible health insurance, minimal 4.01K match (only if the company meets its quarterly numbers), brutal layoff of good people on a quarterly basis, low moral and motivation as people are constantly concerned about their job security.
