Pros

Compensation is fair and there are good benefits. The people generally speaking are all very nice and most colleagues are friends as well as colleagues.

Cons

Redundancies are rife and work going to other countries. Customers are not happy and staff are very low as many more expect to see their jobs go. Suffer from a lot of people out sick constantly. Would not recommend working for Avaya in the current climate at all.

Avaya needs to break out of their 1980's roots with the Bell telephone company and become a 21'st century company

Competitive pay and benefits. Decent amount of vacation is offered for full time salaried employees.

Cons

Top down management style of keeping employees in the dark. Top heavy management, sometimes one upper level manager has 2-3 direct reports. Country club culture where workers are sacrificed so that upper level managers can keep their jobs and perks. Micro management of employee activities. Skilled professional employees are often treated like toddlers here.
