Pros

Amazing people working there, that makes day to day exciting. Nice EOY party and working from the beach benefits. Work from home once a week after three months

Cons

It was an overall horrible experience. Fake career paths are sold to you. There is no real growth opportunities. Mediocre management and fear leads to inertia Considering Avature sells HR tech, their own policies are appalling. Shady processes are not only common, but the norm. Unhealthy hierarchical structure that affects output and morale. Discrimination and ghosting if you don't buy into the fold

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, though we’re sorry that you had a negative experience here. We put a lot of effort in making our processes transparent and create a work environment that’s engaging, open, and comfortable for all Avaturians. Regardless of what may have happened, the feelings you express are diametrically opposed to the culture we foster. We’re taking your message to heart and will put extra effort to ensure we continue to foster a positive work environment. We hope that you find great new opportunities and would like to remind all Avaturians that our Talent Management team is always available to discuss anything you need.

Pros

The work itself can be interesting! The clients are tough, but you meet wonderful people and can learn a lot in a short amount of time.

Cons

The company is growing rapidly, but still has the start-up mindset. They don't define jobs (they think of this as a positive thing) which leads to a lot of exploitation. It often feels that they care about filling seats, and it shows. The turnover rate for some of the key sectors are incredibly high. And other teams are either incompetent, or trying but struggling immensely as they aren't cut out for the job. There are a lot of backlogs and bottle necks which key teams (Consulting and AM) are forced to deal with. Timelines do not exist at Avature, and the only reason most projects are completed with happy clients is because of the Consultants who often have to fix the trouble made by a poor Sales team. Consulting is pushed to perform better than almost any other team, but they are paid terribly (in comparison to Sales). It's a company with poorly defined internal processes, and a management system based on familial relations and friendships. They hand out managerial and direct roles far too freely, with very few of these individuals actually taking responsibility for anything. They are exploitative. Hands down. Terrible hiring process (ironic as they preach best practice hiring methods), and terrible employee management.

Firstly, thank you for communicating and we’re sorry that you had a bad experience with us. As we continue to increase in size dramatically every year, we face many challenges and being flexible is key to take them on. A big part of that is enabling Avaturians to make proactive changes in their careers. Through our mobility processes and performance reviews, we collaborate to find positions in which each Avaturian can put their particular skills to great use and reward them accordingly. This organic approach may sometimes seem undefined, but it has a set of strategic decisions at its core. Regarding work-life balance, the dynamic nature of our industry affects us all in different ways. At times, this can lead to a demanding workload and some positions are particularly sensitive to this. To offset this, Avaturians are empowered to balance their convenience with the demands of their work by making use of our flexible schedules and Work from Home program. With that said, we’re committed to finding the right balance for all involved and encourage everyone to contact Talent Management whenever there’s an issue. Lastly, proud as we are of the bonds developed within our team, performance is the only driver for promotions, which is why we put so much effort into making our performance reviews especially informative.

Pros

* Great work environment (like working in silicon valley) * Flexible hours and possibility to work from home or any place in the world. * Everybody is willing to help. * Clear Direction. * Great Technical Management team. * Room for trying new technologies. * Feeling that everybody is pushing forward for the same objective without politics or issues that can hold you back.

Cons

* It's a company with high expectations about quality and self improvement so sometimes it can be difficult to surf the wave.
