Pros

Working with a passionate group of people who love winter, excel at teamwork, and enjoy providing exceptional service. Opportunities for advancement over time, ski pass for the employee and their family, and discounts on food and bus passes are a plus.

Cons

Entry level pay, while SkiCo tries, is just not commensurate with the cost of housing, and the cost of living in the Roaring Fork Valley. And, there WILL be stressful situations at work. That just comes with the territory, interacting with thousands of guests and other employees at a world class ski destination; but you have to have both thick skin, and leadership/teamwork training to survive those situations. Also, I learned from my coworkers who have put in many years with the company, it can take a very long time to advance to higher level positions, especially if you have your eyes on non-seasonal positions.
