Pros
Ability to work directly with high level external partners as well as an incredibly smart and creative staff internally. Collegiately is almost always omni present and everyone at the organization has been drawn in by a passion to positively effect change in the world through their work. Ashoka is also an incredibly established name in the realm of social entrepreneurs and holds a lot of weight behind it.
Cons
Salary and benefits are low even compared to other smaller and less established non profits. A lot is expected of you and thus hours can often be quite long and it is not abnormal for people to work past 7 or 8 at night and occasionally on weekends. Managers can become bogged down in their own work or program and often under utilize available resources which are housed internally.
