Poor leadership

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

International organization with a global team

Cons

Poor leadership. No one seems to know what they are doing. Very bureaucratic so decisions are made slowly. Leaders also lack empathy which is a core skill they sell

Pros

Clearly people are never able to get fired here Pay is better than it used to be Remote for now

Cons

- Will be forcing into the office asap based on out of touch senior leadership - Very toxic culture from the CEO/leaders, throws tantrums about people taking vacations or maternity leaves - every straightforward system (payroll, HR, office management) is RIFE with incompetence. Nothing will be done correctly ever without begging. -prepare to be micromanaged by incompetent leaders until the project is shelved

Terrible place to work

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Access to a network of some great social change leaders

Cons

Deeply political, self-promoting culture - if you are naturally of that kind, you will thrive! No regard for young, innovative leaders who have a mind of their own Severe lack of empathy - almost opposite of what Ashoka advocates for Zero consultation with and attention to grassroots No place for learning and development - a young person can not even imagine learning anything except organisational politics Depleting brand and regard among the change community No good people are sticking around White supremacy - all the decisions are made mostly by white people, a net-net white board, with some entitlement Nurturing some of the most self-righteous people, most of whom have joined Ashoka with zero experience decades ago but learnt the language and culture that works in the organisation
